Videon and M2A Media partner to enhance live video workflows
Videon and M2A Media have announced a partnership that sees the integration of Videon’s LiveEdge Ecosystem into M2A Connect, a feature-rich tool for the acquisition and distribution of live video.
“This integration represents a monumental step forward in live video processing. Videon’s LiveEdge Ecosystem brings to the table unparalleled functionalities, which, combined with M2A Connect’s robust infrastructure, creates a powerhouse solution that is efficient, reliable and scalable,” said Lionel Bringuier, chief product officer at Videon.
The harmonisation of the LiveEdge Ecosystem and M2A Connect promises an array of benefits, including centralised control, monitoring and automation from source to entitlement, inclusive of fleet management; a significant reduction in necessary on-site technical resources and power consumption; source edge monitoring that minimises the support needed for edge failures, ensuring a smooth, uninterrupted operation; and the ability to leverage LiveEdge Ads for a new revenue channel. Reduced latency and the ability to utilise LiveEdge Data for data collection at the edge are also cited.
“We are always on the lookout to elevate the operational efficiency and profitability for our broadcaster and sports rights owner clients. This integration with Videon stands as a testament to our commitment to delivering state-of-the-art, cloud-based live video solutions,” noted Matt Hughes, chief commercial officer, M2A Media
Paul Brown, chief technology officer at Videon, added: “The collaboration with M2A Media represents a cornerstone in achieving lower total costs of workflow while maintaining a lower power envelope, driving the industry towards a future of sustainable, efficient and intelligent live video processing.”
