VIDI provides full service offering at Men’s European Handball Championship

VIDI is providing video, audio and data services for German public broadcaster ARD and ZDF during the European Handball Championship 2022 currently taking place in Slovakia and Hungary.

The Darmstadt-based company is providing the international connections at the venue in Bratislava as well as in Budapest to an international data centre in Frankfurt. From here the signals are distributed via the national VIDI Broadcast Event Network (VIDI BEN) to the customer’s locations in Mainz and Hamburg. There is active compression equipment at all locations, which means the configuration and monitoring is solely in the hands of VIDI.

The multipurpose VIDI Network Management System (VIDI NMS)  is being used in the VIDI NOC for monitoring and controlling the network. All active components are accessible throughout the VIDI NOC in Darmstadt.

VIDI’s engineering team is also on-site in Bratislava and Budapest during the event.
