wTVision data and graphics win European Elections
wTVision provided broadcast services for six TV channels in four countries during the European Elections held in late May. VRT, Antenna 1, RTP, TVI, Canal Sur TV and 8TV were the broadcasters who choose wTVision as their main partner during the election night.
The Elections CG software was at the core of all projects, assuring the integration between data and graphics. The projects included features such as augmented reality, virtual graphics, integration of official data into wTVision’s software, iPads, LED walls and touch screens. More than 40 members of the wTVision’s staff were involved in the elections.
Antenna 1 presented augmented reality and a ticker with information updated in real-time to present the results. The Greeks elected not only their European representatives but also their local ones, adding to the project’s complexity.
Belgian channel VRT presented wTVision with an even greater challenge, combining 3 suffrages in a single project: European, national and regional. The project included augmented reality delivered through a crane camera mounted on a dolly, which granted full mobility to the shots. This solution main output was achieved through 3 coordinated graphic engines that produced the graphics. wTVision provided graphics services for more than 90 electoral projects in 10 countries.
