IBC 2019: IBM transforms data storage for media and entertainment

Disruptions in media and entertainment have been occurring at a rapid pace over the past few years and many organizations are still struggling with optimizing their IT infrastructure for new data requirements. With growth in capacity, new larger file formats, keeping more data online for business opportunities, and the growing use of AI, organizations are moving from traditional storage in their data center to a modern hybrid architecture. It is based on reliable and modern technologies that can leverage the cloud, new capacity efficiencies and required performance in the data center.

IBM (stand 7.B25), with its comprehensive portfolio of storage solutions, is one company committed to the media and entertainment industry and current media data challenges. IBM storage provides solutions that span the cloud to the data center, tailored for the media and entertainment industry. This includes high-performance file data access, capacity-optimized object storage, and data management for meta data tagging and analysis, in addition to low-cost and highly secure cold storage solutions.

IBM storage will be showcasing new media solutions this year at IBC 2019 in Amsterdam NL September 13-17. Learn about a new generation of storage solutions for large capacity media files or a new media manager to search metadata from multiple data sources or their new cold storage tape options. Some key media partners will also be at their booth and highlighting their integration and new capabilities including a new product for media file optimization.
