Director of Business Development EMEA, Gravity Media
As director of business development for Gravity Media in EMEA, Blair works with the wider Gravity Media senior leadership team in the development and delivery of strategic plans to support business growth. Based at The Production Centre in Chiswick, west London in the UK, Blair is responsible for overseeing the delivery of RFP and tender responses, account handling of key clients and creating new business opportunities for the EMEA business.
Having joined Gravity Media (as Input Media) in 2011 as an assistant producer in the production department, Blair worked his way up to the role of senior producer. During this time, he oversaw the production team for Chelsea TV which was based at Stamford Bridge, was the producer for BoxNation’s flagship chat show Bunce’s Boxing Hour and worked across a number of major contracts including UEFA and The FA. Blair has significant major event experience having worked at the FIFA Football World Cups in Brazil and Russia, the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France and also acted as our co-executive producer for the French Open world feed operation at Roland Garros in 2016 and 2017.
Prior to joining Gravity Media, Blair was an established sports journalist working for Media Wales in Cardiff. Working for the national newspapers for Wales, the Western Mail and Wales on Sunday, he covered a variety of sports at both domestic and international level including football, rugby and cricket. He also wrote a weekly boxing column, covered Joe Calzaghe’s 2008 world title fight against Roy Jones Jnr at Maddison Square Garden and interviewed legends such as Joe Frazier and Mike Tyson.
Blair completed an Executive MBA from London Business School in 2018 and is an NCTJ qualified journalist who also completed the Trinity Mirror Certificate of Journalism in 2008.
