Zero Density


 

Zero Density is an industry-leading developer of hardware and software products for virtual studios, augmented reality (AR), extended reality (XR), and broadcast graphics. In 2016, the company’s real-time node-based compositor Reality, allowed sports broadcasters to leverage Unreal Engine-powered visual effects pipelines for the very first time.

Fast forward to today, and Zero Density has over 300 clients across 48 countries. The company has developed many more award-winning products, all of which have allowed sports broadcasters including Eurosport, BBC Sports, Fox Sports and RTBF to immerse audiences with photoreal, scalable, and automated real-time graphics.

Over the past year, these Zero Density products have helped deliver the coverage of everything from Formula 1 to the UEFA Women’s Euro. They powered a brand new virtual studio for IMG’s Premier League Productions, and were installed in the virtual studio where Discovery Eurosport Finland covered national Finnish ice hockey tournaments. Belgium’s RTBF, which has been utilizing Zero Density products for the last 4 years, also recently revamped its studio to cover the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 tournament with the help of the technology.

Meanwhile, the NENT Group also worked with Zero Density following the launch of Viaplay, an OTT platform that’s available in all Nordic countries. Viaplay now covers Formula 1, Champions League and UEFA League with a total of 26 Engines in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Netherlands, Poland and Denmark.
