Managing Digital, World Aquatics
Luca Fasani is managing Digital at World Aquatics, the governing body of aquatic sports.
With +10 years of experience in ideating digital content and managing digital platforms for sport organisations and broadcasters, Luca worked for international events as the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, World Aquatics Championships, Giro d’Italia, FIBA Olympic Qualifier, Milan and Geneva Marathon.
Luca Fasani was born in 1988 in Italy. He graduated twice in Digital Communication and Multimedia in between Pavia and Nice Cote d’Azur University. After a training experience at the Italian Embassy in Paris, Luca debuted his work career at Sky Italy in Milan.
His first experience in the sport industry began in 2015, when he was appointed digital lead at RCS Sport to re-shape the digital presence of Giro d’Italia and the other major cycling races in Italy. After three years Luca moved to Lausanne (Switzerland) to join World Aquatics (formerly FINA) as responsible of the digital department. Since 2019 World Aquatics was awarded with multiple prizes as most improved and best International Sport Federation on social media, constantly increasing digital performances and revenues.
Before starting his career as digital specialist, Luca played basketball professionally for ten years
