Technology, Broadcast & Innovation manager, World Rugby
Ronan Donagher has almost 18 years experience of delivering on technology, broadcast technology and, lately, formal innovation management for IRB/WorldRugby. He also does some part-time lecturing at Trinity College Dublin and is very passionate about giving people the platform and time to develop their ideas. He is a firm believer in the concept that ‘no idea is a bad idea’ but may just be something that needs to be tweaked or developed further to give it the best chance of success. Ensuring all the people, tools and data work nicely together is one of his main goals and this very much drives much of what he does on a day-to-day basis.
During his career, Ronan has been part of a long list of events, delivering various different roles including Rugby World Cups from 2003 to 2019, Rugby World Cups 7s from 2005 to 2018, The Women’s Rugby World Cups from 2006 to 2017 and numerous U19/U20/U21 events globally.
