Diagonal View, Head of Football
Chris started at digital production house Diagonal View in early 2016 as a Junior Video Editor, using the skills he’d honed at the New York Film School and the University of Nottingham to revamp Football Daily’s YouTube offering. After transitioning from Editor to Producer, which included a 3-month stint sleeping on his friend’s sofa, Chris used his background in film to create lasting editorial that resonated with young football fans. Shows such as Stat Wars and Sunday Vibes became household favourites amongst the growing fanbase. The emphasis was no longer just clicks, it was making the content click-worthy. Football Daily achieved this through statistical led analysis in an era when sensationalism was the go-to. In times of great challenge and change in the digital landscape, Football Daily have continued to prosper; generating millions of organic views every month across multiple platforms and working closely with market leading clients to deliver meaningful results. Over one million new subscribers later, Chris is now heading up the company’s entire football portfolio, which includes Football Daily, Euro Football Daily and FDFC. Chris is also one of the presenters of The Football Social.
