Michael Kögler

Head of Directors, ORF Sport

Michael Kögler has been a director, producer, editor and reporter for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) since 1984 and became director of ORF Sport in 2016.

He has worked with Lucky Schmidtleitner and Fritz Melchert on the FIS Alpine and Nordic Skiing World Championships since 1991.  Kögler has also worked as a director on both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games since 1984.

Besides directing sports events Kögler also participates in comedy shows, gala events, concerts and studio talk shows and news.

Previous projects include Forumla 1 (1998-2004), the Red Bull Air Race World Series (2006), Dorfers Donnerstalk (2004) and The Eurovision Song Contest: Semi Final 1 (2015).
