Director, Fox Sports
Artie Kempner is in his 28th year with Fox Sports. The 12-Time Sports Emmy Winner directs NFL and NASCAR for the network.
He’s the coordinating and lead director of Fox’s NASCAR coverage, and works with producer Pete Macheska, announcers Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen, on the NFL.
Kempner worked for CBS Sports from 1982-94, before coming to Fox Sports as part of the start-up of the network after acquiring the rights to the NFL in 1993. He directed Super Bowl XXXIX (Eagles vs Patriots) and Super Bowl XLII (Giants vs Patriots), as well as 17 Daytona 500s.
Over the 34 year career as a director, he’s directed the Masters, US Open, PGA Championship, US Open Tennis, NCAA Basketball Tournament, NBA Play-offs, and three Olympics (1992, ’94 & ’98).
