Director of People Operations, Sky
Coming from an administration background which started at an OB Company in Covent Garden, Murray got her first foray into the satellite television world at Thorn EMI Screen Entertainment where she took her first role in facilities co-ordination. From here she joined Sky way back in 1986 when it was just a single channel.
Since then, Murray stayed in a central facilities role until the sports offering (at that time Eurosport) grew to an extent that it required more full-time assistance. It was at this point that she moved into Sport as facilities manager.
Eurosport became Sky Sports in 1991, and after her return from maternity leave, she moved into the sports digital team where she remained for 12 years rising to become head of operations for Sky Sports Digital Media.
When Sky Sports embarked on a transformation project, and due to her experience with re-structures, this led to a move as head of organisational delivery for Sky Sports focussing on people, communications, corporate initiatives and ways of working.
Sky Production Services joined Sky Sports and Sky Sports News in 2019, seeing the department increase to 1100 headcount and saw further changes to leadership structure and how all teams across the department were organised. Murray’s current role of director of people operations sits within the central production services and operations team servicing all of the people across the whole department.
