NEP UK, Head of Engineering & Technology
Malcolm is NEP’s Head of Engineering and Technology for the UK, responsible for the engineering team and technology within NEP UK. Malcolm has worked on several large projects including the build of NEP’s flagship production centre in London at 200 Gray’s Inn Road, the deployment of HDR capabilities to support Sky football and projects to provide remote and centralised working for clients in the UK and abroad.
Previously, Malcolm worked for Timeline as their Head of Technology at BT Sport, where his role involved managing the technical side of the BT Sport facility and running a team of multidisciplinary engineers to develop and maintain the East London BT Sport hub.
Malcolm has worked in the broadcast industry for over 35 years. Starting his career at the BBC in 1986 at Television Centre, quickly progressing to a senior editing position and specialising in the delivery of Post Production for major events ranging from the Olympics to World Cups. A key member of the BBC London 2012 team, he was involved in the design, build and operation of Post facilities at the IBC for this hugely successful project. After leaving the BBC he worked as a consultant helping to design and build the BT Sport facility in record breaking time in 2013.
