In conversation with Eurosport senior commentator David Goldstrom, ORF head of directors Michael Koegler discusses the TV coverage of the 81st Hahnenkamm Races in Kitzbühel (19-24 January 2021). The races, which take place on what is described as “the world’s most notorious, dangerous, blood-curdling downhill course”, were captured purely for television this year because of COVID restrictions. Koegler will outline the challenges that he and the production team faced and how they were overcome, and detail the techniques and innovations used to capture the action and tell the story of each race.
