SVG Europe is very pleased to announce the names of the entries that have been shortlisted for this year’s Sports TV Awards, sponsored by Canon.

The SVG Europe Sports TV Awards recognise and honour the outstanding companies, teams and individuals that pushed sports broadcasting and production forward within the previous calendar year.

The judges look to reward people, organisations and projects, big or small, that have led by example, experimented, taken risks, overcome the challenges of COVID, and achieved results that can contribute to the continuing forward momentum and success of the industry as a whole.

The SVG Europe Sports TV Awards 2022 ceremony will take place on Thursday 8 September at the DeLaMar Theater in Amsterdam as part of the Sport Production Summit.

SVG Europe editorial director George Bevir said: “We received a huge number of entries this year, from all around Europe, covering a wide range of sports, projects and events, and the quality of those submissions was extremely high, as always. The judges had a torrid time trying to narrow down the entries to a shortlist but they managed it. Thank you to each and every one of them for giving up their time to help us. Congratulations to all those entrants who have made the shortlists. Commiserations to those that didn’t. I look forward to seeing you all and celebrating the best of European sports production and broadcasting at the SVG Europe Sports TV Awards ceremony in Amsterdam on 8 September.”
