Backlight shines with Gold SVG Europe sponsorship

Backlight, which offers cloud-native SaaS products designed to improve every stage of the video and entertainment content lifecycle, has renewed its Gold sponsorship of SVG Europe.

Backlight’s product lines – iconik, cineSync, ftrack, celtx, Gem, Wildmoka and Zype – provide secure and efficient media management, narrative design, production tracking, creative collaboration, OTT, monetisation and hyper-distribution.

The company recently announced an integration between its cloud-native media management platform, iconik, and Wildmoka, its media production and hyperdistribution platform. The offering delivers value to broadcasters and content owners with intelligent live-to-archive and easy search and restore functionality so they can broaden reach and monetise video across platforms with greater efficiency.

According to Backlight, the integration means broadcasters, video publishers and producers can configure live streams to be intelligently archived, with full metadata, into iconik for easy media asset management.  Within iconik, which integrates with any cloud or on-premise storage, users can organise and collaborate on their assets. Once ready, they can publish their stored content back into Wildmoka for further creative reutilisation.

Wildmoka also received a number of updates in 2023, including the introduction of Wildmoka Live Studio a live broadcast operation platform that makes it easy for publishers to produce high-quality live shows and distribute streams wherever viewers are watching content. Customers can create multiple versions of tailored, near-live streams from live sources and engage a larger audience through simultaneous distribution across multiple destinations.

Wildmoka Clip Studio, a web browser-based video editing and distribution tool for near-live clips and reels, previously available only in Wildmoka’s Digital Media Platform, was also made available as a standalone offering.
