Blackbird takes up Bronze SVG Europe sponsorship

Blackbird, the technology licensor, developer and seller of the cloud video editing platform of the same name, has returned as a Bronze sponsor of SVG Europe.

A fully-featured editor accessed through any browser, easy to learn and needing only limited bandwidth to use, Blackbird offers productivity and efficiency benefits for any enterprise organisation working with video, while supporting the carbon reduction goals of the media production industry. In 2022, the company was approved by albert, the leading UK environmental sustainability initiative for the visual arts, as a green supplier for sustainable video editing and publishing.

In the sporting world, users include Eurovision Sport, the R&A, IMG, FIFA and more.

The company has also entered into a number of partnerships this year, most recently teaming up with EVS to deliver a ‘producer friendly’ web-based video editing app. Called IPD-VIA Create, the app provides instant access to video content in EVS MediaCeption Signature through a browser-based interface, allowing for local or remote workflows in which content can be rough cut or assembled before being pushed to craft editors or directly distributed to viewers via multiple channels.
