Corporate Star Awards to celebrate industry ESG achievements
The newly-launched Corporate Star Awards (CSA) have officially opened for nominations, honouring outstanding achievements in the areas of environmental, social, and governance (ESG).
The awards specifically recognise and celebrate ESG initiatives within the broadcast, media, and entertainment sectors, highlighting those companies leading the charge towards a sustainable future.
SVG Europe is among the industry partners supporting the awards, which were founded by Lisa Collins, Ben Gill, and Neil Nixon.
“Sustainability – in all its guises – is the most important and urgent issue of our time. ESG provides criteria that companies can measure, benchmark, and report against. With a variety of categories, the Corporate Star Awards will showcase the successes of ESG initiatives, demonstrate examples of best practice and highlight the importance of transparency in this area,” according to the organisers.
The CSAs present a competitive and transparent platform for organisations to compare and celebrate their progress and performance in ESG against their peers.
The award categories include:
- Best Initiative to Strengthen Global Partnerships
- Best Carbon Footprint Improvement Initiative
- Net Zero Innovation Award
- Best ESG Report
- Best Charity/CSR Initiative
- Best Campaign to Improve Health and Mental Wellbeing
- Best Campaign to Improve Training and Education
- Best Campaign to Improve Diversity
- Best Employee Engagement Programme
- Best ESG Ambassador/Leader
The CSAs 2023 ceremony will be held in conjunction with IBC 2023 at the Okura Hotel in Amsterdam.
The awards ceremony will provide participants the opportunity to network with industry peers, customers, and stakeholders, while also highlighting the importance of ESG practices for businesses.
The deadline for entries is set for 11 August. The shortlisted finalists will be announced on 25 August, and the winners will be revealed during the Awards Ceremony on 15 September.
