DAZN gears up for 2023 UEFA Women’s Champions League Final between Barcelona and Wolfsburg

FC Barcelona Femeni is taking on VfL Wolfsburg at the PSV Stadium, Eindhoven, the Netherlands for the 2023 UEFA Women’s Champions League Final

The 2023 UEFA Women’s Champions League Final between FC Barcelona Femeni and VfL Wolfsburg is taking place this weekend at the PSV Stadium, Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

On Saturday 3 June, host broadcaster DAZN will work on behalf of UEFA alongside technical services provider NEP to bring all the thrills and spills of this match to viewers at home.

The UEFA Women’s Champions League Final will be produced in HD-SDI 1080i50, while the audio production will be full 5.1+2 surround sound production with a Dolby E multichannel audio mix.

Meanwhile, the TV match director will be Rhys Griffiths. Griffiths, a senior director at DAZN, previously held the role of producer and director at the company, working for the broadcaster’s rugby department.

UEFA has allocated the following unilateral broadcast facilities: 29 TV and radio commentary position desks; 14 pitch presentation positions; nine flash interview positions; two tribune presentation positions; and 43 unilateral camera positions.

The UEFA Women’s Champions League Final will be broadcast from 1,350 square metres of broadcast compound space.

San Sebastián’s Anoeta Stadium hosted the 2020 final, while the 2021 decider was held at Gamla Ullevi in Gothenburg, before Turin’s Juventus Stadium staged the showpiece in 2022. The 2024 final will take place at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao.

A sold-out PSV Stadium in Eindhoven will stage the 2023 UEFA Women’s Champions League final at 16:00 CET on Saturday 3 June.
