Football Summit 2024: Gamification to take centre stage during 29 February event in Brussels

LaLiga has launched a plethora of technical innovations for the TV broadcast coverage of the 23/24 season

The gamification of football coverage will be discussed in detail during Football Summit 2024, sponsored by EVS, taking place at The EGG in Brussels on 29 February.

Uwe Koenig, Sky Sport Austria, Vice President; Dennis Galejski, DFL, Head of Product Management; and Emili Planas, Mediapro, CTO, will delve into how broadcasters and production teams are looking to incorporate new approaches to presentation, fresh angles, player perspectives, enhanced graphics and increased interactivity or viewing experiences to appeal to new – and often younger – audiences, mimicking what they see in video games.

They will share how the Bundesliga and LaLiga are already making an impact with this new approach.

They join a line of speakers that already includes:

  • Lorin Parys, Belgian Pro League CEO
  • Daniel Monaghan, Ampere Analysis, Research Manager
  • Robert Klein, IMG, Managing Director, Football, Media
  • Nick Moody, Sunset+Vine, Executive Producer/Head of Broadcast
  • Sarah Cheadle, Sky Sports, Senior Football Director
  • Serge Bellens, Head of Directors at Telenet Play Sports and Match Director at DPG Media
  • Alexander Mölders, Sky Sport, Director of Concepts & Performance
  • Sebastian Runge, FIFA, Head of Football Technology & Data

In addition to the conference, there will be tabletop exhibitors, food and drink, and plenty of time throughout the day for networking.
