Gravity Media expands its White City production facility with key hires

 

Gravity Media has further expanded its team to support its White City production facility and to undertake the next phase of the build out of this centre.

Gravity Media has appointed Róisín McKeniry as its head of technology and Paul Sykes has been appointed the role of chief facility engineer (Westworks Project).

Both will be key technical leads for The Production Centre, London (White City), working collaboratively with Gravity’s engineering and technology leadership as well as the project engineering, post-production and production centre teams. they will be working to build and guarantee the remote production workflows as well as the technical integrity and output of the facility, supporting and driving the handover of the site from build to operate and maintain.

McKeniry and Sykes will also be customer facing and with the other core team be key players in scoping and defining solutions for delivery of productions through the facility, when on-premise or as a remote production.

McKeniry joins Gravity Media from Timeline TV at BT Sport’s Stratford base, where she was responsible for the technology provision and delivery from the facility. McKeniry will lead the team of engineers at The Production Centre, London (White City) ensuring the studios, production galleries and workflows are designed, operated, and supported to ensure successful live deliveries every time.

Her career in broadcast has taken her from junior editor right through post production management into the technical and operational leadership of a flagship sports broadcast studio and post production facilities.

Sykes has been instrumental in the build phase of the new facility and will continue to drive the systems integration as the facility develops and more services come online. He has worked with Gravity Media since 2013 and is a seasoned systems integration engineer, having filled senior roles, more recently as the head of systems integration for Gravity Media in the UK.

Gravity Media is also delighted to welcome Martin Deutsch as broadcast engineer. Deutsch also joins Gravity Media from the Timeline TV team for BT Sport team at Stratford where he was the lead MCR engineer supporting the facility. He brings with him a wealth of experience across studio, live, remote production workflows and IP technologies.
