IBC 2018: G&D showcases new IP matrix system

At IBC 2018, KVM experts Guntermann & Drunck (stand 1.D39) will be presenting their systems in cooperation with equipment from renowned broadcast manufacturers such as Ross Video, Sharp, BFE, and the video wall specialists from VuWall. At booth 1.D39, G&D will be exhibiting many KVM highlights such as the brand-new matrix system for KVM-over-IP. Even the largest IT installations can now be easily scaled and implemented over IP access.

G&D will showcase their new IP matrix system live by arranging a typical broadcast control room application. This application consists of several computers and video servers which can be accessed via KVM-over-IP, a Carbonate Black 2 Panel video mixer from Ross Video and a live camera that feeds live signals to the Ross video server via SDI. The large screen used in the application is controlled with VuScape — a high-performance video wall controller. Thus images can be displayed completely flexibly over several cubes. Furthermore, BFE’s popular broadcast control system KSC Core including operating panel is integrated to perfectly operate control rooms. This enables fast and intuitive control of the entire broadcast chain.

ControlCenter-IP supports broadcast workflow
G&D’s KVM matrix systems can be quickly and easily linked to original broadcast equipment and thus support an optimal and efficient broadcast workflow. Even with physically remote computers, producers have the right technology at hand at all times and can operate live cameras, video walls, control panels, mixing consoles, and other input devices as usual.

Anyone who doesn’t want to miss out on superlatives should definitely visit G&D’s booth. One of these superlatives will also be the combination of Sharp’s ultimate Super Hi-Vision 8K display with G&D’s 8K KVM-Extender DP1.2-VisionXG. The system extends high-resolution 4K and 8K video signals at 60 Hz — pixel-perfect, uncompressed, without any loss and latency-free up to 10,000 m via optical fibres.
