Lawo opts for Gold SVG Europe sponsorship

Lawo has renewed its Gold sponsorship of SVG Europe.

The Germany-based designer and manufacturer of video, audio, control and monitoring technology for the broadcast sector develops a wide range of products, including IP-based media infrastructure solutions, digital audio mixing consoles and video processing tools.

Its solutions are in use across the sports broadcast sector. Earlier this year Italy’s RAI upgraded its Broadcast Production Center in Rome with a new control and signal distribution network based on Lawo IP infrastructure solutions. The installation, in five production galleries and six studios, comprises V__matrix clusters and a VSM system for studio-related and overarching system control as well as signal distribution management.

In addition, Sweden’s Viaplay has significantly expanded and rebuilt its studios in Warsaw, Poland, in an ambitious modernisation project that includes Lawo mc²36 and diamond mixing consoles, and Ravenna/AES67-native IP infrastructure products.

Recent product developments include version 10.6 of its mc² and A__UHD Core platform, which delivers a new level of immersive audio mixing and cutting-edge advancements for multichannel processing and downmixing, and the adoption of the intoPIX TICO-XS codec, meaning several new Lawo products will be JPEG XS compliant.
