Ncam acquired by Zeiss

Ncam has been acquired by international technology and optics company Zeiss. Together, the companies aim to deliver easy-to-use tracking and VFX solutions for professional production workflows, with Ncam’s hybrid camera tracking technology complementing Zeiss’ line-up of cinema lenses and lens data related services.

For more than 175 years, Zeiss has been standing for high technical knowhow and through its established global footprint it can offer excellent service in every region. Ncam, meanwhile, brings recognised expertise in camera tracking, visual effects, virtual production and more. According to the companies, combining global resources will lead to improved customer support and exciting innovations in the cine and broadcast markets and beyond.

Zeiss will introduce the first product out of this co-operation later this summer and is committed to supporting all Ncam users and customers. An upgrade programme will ensure that every new feature and improvement brought to the technology will also benefit existing Ncam users.
