Red Bee Media renews SVG Europe Gold Sponsorship to continue contribution to best practice in sports media
Once again, Red Bee Media has renewed its Gold Sponsorship of SVG Europe. The company said SVG Europe gives it direct access to the sports broadcast community, which enables it to contribute to best practice in sports media distribution.
Said Margaret Davies, head of sales enablement at Red Bee Media: “Being a part of SVG Europe gives us the possibility to connect and share knowledge with a community dedicated to creating and delivering the best possible viewing experiences for sports fans across Europe and the rest of the world. As we renew our Gold Sponsorship of SVG Europe, Red Bee Media is looking forward to contributing to the development of best practice sports media distribution.”
She continued: “Red Bee Media is providing a wide range of managed media services used to deliver some of the finest and most thrilling sports moments to audiences worldwide. Apart from managing broadcasts for some of the world’s biggest television brands, including the BBC, BT Sports and CANAL+, Red Bee Media has been a part of a number of innovative projects related to sports media in the past year.
“For example, during the FIFA World Cup 2018, we distributed full UHD and HDR footage to the Dutch public in cooperation with public broadcasters NPO and NOS and we delivered every game to all McDonalds restaurants in Sweden through our managed OTT Services,” she concluded.
Red Bee Media’s Managed OTT offering gives rights owners the ability to monetise live and pre-recorded sports content, delivering it to global audiences. As an example, sports rights owner Spring Media used Red Bee Media’s services to create a direct to consumer service for Sweden International Horseshow, reaching viewers all over the world. Red Bee Media continues to develop its Managed OTT services and at NAB 2019, it delivered live streams at a record low latency of 3.5 seconds, a feat that can enable near real time sports experiences.
Remote production is becoming increasingly important for delivering high quality coverage from live sports events and Red Bee Media is now able to deliver highly efficient workflows with low bandwidth requirements. These remote production workflows can be seamlessly integrated with Red Bee Media’s end to end managed services offering, including delivery through broadcasts and OTT streams.
Red Bee Media is a global managed media services provider with an end to end offering that enables broadcasters, media companies and rights owners to focus on content creation and audience satisfaction without having to worry about day to day operations and keeping up with the latest technical developments.
