Sportway joins SVG Europe as Bronze sponsor with a mission to showcase how AI can enhance engagement

Sportway, which delivers automated video and data productions using artificial intelligence (AI) to film, produce and broadcast live games, has joined SVG Europe as a Bronze sponsor.

Sportway strives to bring the power of live and on-demand video streaming to sports organisations everywhere, in order to ensure that all sports, on all levels, are available for everyone. Based in Sweden, the company provides end-to-end, fully automated video production of live events and advises federations, leagues and clubs from any sport on how to maximise the potential to produce, market and monetise their media content.

These production systems, backed by Sportway’s scalable business model, help unlock a variety of benefits for participating federations, leagues and clubs, including additional revenue streams via subscriptions or pay-per-view monetisation opportunities.

All the action is captured using Sportway’s fixed, unmanned cameras, which create a panoramic view of the entire rink, field or court. The patented AI technology then automatically follows the game by panning and zooming in on key action, providing a professional viewing experience. The technology can also be linked with league databases and game secretariats to automatically generate real-time graphics, as well as replays and post-game highlights.

Sportway is particularly active in the world of hockey and this season will have nearly 500 installed production systems in arenas across Europe via exclusive partnerships with the hockey federations of the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. This is Europe’s largest network of AI productions systems in sports and the company is actively developing partnerships across a wide spectrum of other sports, including tennis, basketball, volleyball, floorball, handball and football.
