Cobalt, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2022, has returned as a Gold sponsor of SVG Europe.
The designer and manufacturer of 12G/3G/HD/SD conversion, throwdown and multiviewer technology for the production and broadcast television environments, has released a number of new products and enhancements this year. This includes the Indigo 2110-DC-01 SMPTE ST2110 solution, which now offers support for high density native 4K ST2110 audio and video processing on openGear form factor; and a new version of the SafeLink Gateway as a virtual machine.
Another highlight was the launch of Supershooter 6, the newest member of NEP Group’s US Mobile Units fleet, which hit the road with 12 frames of Cobalt Digital’s signal processing, conversion and distribution gear onboard. The setup includes over 100 Cobalt openGear distribution amplifiers from several of the company’s card families, including the 9910, 9501, 9502 and 9410, to give Supershooter 6 a full scope of 3G/HD/SD/ASI capabilities in a compact footprint.
