Swiss Football League teams up with LaSource on digital strategy development

LaSource and the Swiss Football League have announced a strategic partnership, with LaSource appointed as the league’s consulting partner for developing its Digital Vision 2027.

Together with Swiss Football League clubs, a 5-year strategy has been developed, covering 11 key areas including ‘Digital & Innovation’.

In the past year and a half, several digital initiatives have been undertaken, and already significant milestones have been achieved, LaSource said.

LaSource has now been recruited to support the development of a “comprehensive and ambitious” Digital Vision 2027 for the league, complementing work already done and setting the direction for the future.

Commenting on the partnership, Frank Schaffner, chief digital officer at the Swiss League, said: “We believe that the Swiss Football League has the potential to be the most attractive and innovative sports competition in Switzerland. We will push this forward together with all stakeholders and partners. LaSource is the right partner to support us in developing a digital strategy that will further drive growth and innovation in our league.”

LaSource chief business officer Leander Monbaliu added: “We are excited and honoured to partner with the Swiss Football League and contribute to their journey towards digital excellence. The project aligns perfectly with our vision for leagues and federations to take the lead in driving growth and innovation across their ecosystem.

“Our focus, as always, is on delivering innovative solutions that will elevate the league’s position and engagement in the ever-evolving digital landscape while maximising its ability to offer the best possible services to its main stakeholders and clubs.”
