Telstra Broadcast Services renews Gold SVG Europe sponsorship

Telstra Broadcast Services (TBS) has returned as a Gold sponsor of SVG Europe.

TBS has an outstanding track record for innovation in sports broadcasting and works with leading sports broadcasters and rightsholders to deliver content around the world. It utilises a robust global media network supported by international field services, special events teams and worldwide broadcast operations centres.

The company also provides managed production and playout services, and the past 12 months has seen TBS launch its next-generation Internet Delivery Network (IDN) for major sporting event delivery. The software-defined, cloud-based platform enables the transport of high-quality video content and live broadcast streams to any registered endpoint across shared networks such as the public internet. The IDN connects to over 40 content taker sites across EMEA, APAC and the Americas. Most recently TBS is providing key services for virtual advertising in sports, and leveraging state-of-the-art technology for broadcast contribution and content delivery over 5G.

Anna Lockwood, VP international, said: “Telstra Broadcast Services is a long-standing member of SVG Europe, and we’re delighted to be renewing our Gold membership this year. Europe continues to be a key sports market for TBS, and with a significantly expanded team and our new broadcast operations centre in London, we are delivering more sports broadcast services to European customers than ever before. It’s going to be an exciting 12 months ahead with Europe hosting major sports events including the Rugby World Cup and the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. We very much value our partnership with SVG Europe and the insights they share that help us to continually evolve how we serve our customers.”
