UCI World Cyclo-Cross Championships in Hoogerheide: Picture gallery

The 2023 UCI Cyclo-Cross Hoogerheide World Championships took place 3-5 February in Hoogerheide, Netherlands.

EMG Belgium provided the host coverage for the UCI with NEP Belgium also on site for the VRT Sporza channel’s local Belgian presentation. TV coverage in the UK was on Eurosport and on the BBC iplayer/Red Button.

To cover what was a wide action area, the production team deployed a racing drone camera to bring back shots through the forest section and a Eurogrips wire cam that stretched across the course.

The course itself was just over 3,000m long and included the famous ‘Stairway to Heaven’ where riders carry their bikes up punishing steep steps. It also featued high ramps, obstacles to jump over and many twists and turns.

Steve Challes captured the action being captured for SVG Europe. His pictures can be seen in the gallery below.
