YouTube Primetime Channels in Germany to offer NBA League Pass

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and YouTube have announced an agreement to make NBA League Pass, the league’s premium live game subscription service, available for purchase on Germany’s YouTube Primetime Channels.

Through the agreement, YouTube Primetime Channels subscribers in Germany will have access to live and on-demand NBA games and content via NBA League Pass, including regular-season games, the Emirates NBA Cup (previously named the NBA In-Season Tournament), NBA All-Star, the Play-In Tournament, the Playoffs, and NBA Finals.

Additionally, German content creators and hosts of the NBA Undrafted show – C-Bas and Kobe Bjoern – will provide live Germany commentary for select games exclusively on NBA League Pass.  The alternate game telecast will debut with the Indiana Pacers vs. Miami Heat game on Sunday, April 7 at 11:00 p.m. CET and continue with the Orlando Magic vs. Milwaukee Bucks game on Sunday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. CET.  In addition to streaming NBA League Pass on YouTube Primetime Channels, YouTube and the NBA will also collaborate to offer more locally relevant basketball content on the wider YouTube platform featuring a variety of German content creators.

“As a basketball fan myself, I’m excited that basketball fans in Germany can now watch every NBA game live and on-demand on YouTube thanks to our streaming partnership with the NBA, and to further expand our growing offering on YouTube Primetime Channels,” said YouTube Country Director Germany Andreas Briese.  “Basketball has become very popular in this country since the world championship title of our National Team.”

“Collaborating with YouTube Primetime Channels reflects our continued commitment to making the excitement of the NBA more accessible to our passionate fans in Germany on the devices and platforms they use most,” said NBA Senior Vice President, Head of International Content Partnerships Matt Brabants.  “With the momentum around basketball in Germany at an all-time high, we look forward to working with YouTube to create more locally relevant content for fans to engage with the NBA.”

NBA League Pass provides the most comprehensive live and on-demand access to an entire season of NBA games with live stats, alternative audio and multiple viewing options, including the NBA Mobile View, which delivers a closer shot of the action optimized for viewing on mobile phones, tablets and connected devices.

Fans in Germany can also watch live NBA games and programming on ProSieben and DAZN.  Fans across the country can follow the NBA on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and X and download the official NBA App on iOS and Android for the latest news, updates, scores, stats, schedules, videos and more.  Fans can also purchase the latest NBA merchandise at the NBA Store in Berlin and at NBAStore.eu.
