IBC 2013: Audemat to launch new monitoring system for digital TV
Audemat, the monitoring and control specialists within the WorldCast Systems’ group, will introduce an innovative new Monitoring System for Digital TV at IBC 2013 in Amsterdam.
Having already had great success with the GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T and GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T2 signal monitoring platforms, Audemat has now combined these two devices into one to enable a flexible and future-proof solution for broadcasters working, or potentially working, with both technologies.
“Offering both DVB-T and DVB-T2 monitoring capabilities in the same unit means that a broadcaster can purchase the GOLDENEAGLE safe in the knowledge that no extra expense will be required should their DVB-T network migrate to DVB-T2 in future,” says Christophe Poulain, Group VP sales. “GOLDENEAGLE monitoring platforms have long been well-respected in the industry and now we are ensuring that our broadcast and regulatory customers not only get a high performing signal monitoring unit but one that they can continue to use with future technologies.”
The GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T/T2 is capable of monitoring up to 20 channels via its RF receiver and one via an ASI input and can be deployed either at a transmitter site or throughout the coverage area. Features such as audio/video streaming, automatic scanning, MPEG services monitoring, freeze pictures, network delay, TS recording and T2-MI monitoring and analysis provide a truly, comprehensive and professional solution.
Like all Goldeneagle products, users have the option to introduce remote facility management on the signal monitoring platform using ScriptEasy software. ScriptEasy offers a full suite of site monitoring opportunities enabling full access to the configuration, parameter setting, alarms, notification and automatic actions of many different products at a remote site.
