Live! Ammunition!’ returns to offer up-and-coming screenwriters a chance to pitch ideas for a movie to a panel moderated by Elliott Grove, Founder, Raindance Film Festival and British Independent Film Awards. This is a live competition open to anyone with £5 in their pocket – competitors must convince the panel to watch their film or read their screenplay, and the panel will confer and pick a winner for the best pitch. The winner takes the pot, but more importantly the competitors and audience will pick up valuable tips on pitching.
The Producers’ Theatre also features content from the digital age, recognising that high quality content is no longer exclusive to broadcast and film. Attendees to ‘The Screen @ BVE’ will also have the chance to take in an interview with Glen Freemantle, Oscar Winning Sound Designer and Supervising Sound Editor at Sound24 Ltd (Everest, Gravity, Ex-Machina, Steve Jobs).
‘The Screen’ will also be taking a look at one of the hottest topics in the industry at the moment with the panel discussion ‘The Internet Protocol Revolution: Is it all its set up to be?’. Chairing the panel is renowned industry expert Larry Jordan, with panellists including Martin Featherstone, Expert at HowtoAV, Dan Bennett, Managing Director, Absolute Post and Peter Schut, Chief Technological Officer, Axon TV.
