Simplestream appoints new EMEA sales director to boost sports video service capabilities

Live and on-demand OTT services specialist Simplestream has appointed Fabio Gallo to the position of sales director EMEA. Gallo will initially drive the company’s suite of cutting-edge OTT products, enabling sports rights owners and holders to launch next-generation TV services that engage their audiences, reduce ‘churn’, and increase monetisation opportunities. 

Based in the company’s London office, Gallo will be responsible for devising and implementing Simplestream’s sales strategy to drive business, managing a team across Europe, and leveraging channel and sports rights holder relationships to accelerate continued growth. He will also work closely with the company’s product department to optimise its solutions and marketing initiatives for sports federations and content owners.

Gallo brings a wealth of experience to Simplestream with over 16 years in business development leadership positions, which have focused on sales, e-commerce, digital monetisation solutions, SaaS, OTT and mobile. Gallo came from Deltatre Group where he served as the Business Development Director, driving strategic partnerships with major B2B sports organisations. He has also previously been responsible for fostering digital strategies and driving global video content distributions for Dorna Sports and FC Barcelona.
