Tedial promotes Fernandez-Campon to CTO

MAM specialist Tedial has promoted business solution director and former director of technology Julian Fernandez-Campon to the role of chief technology officer (CTO), effective immediately.

Fernandez-Campon takes over from chief executive Emilio L. Zapata who previously held both roles.

In this new job, Fernandez-Campon will be responsible for overseeing R&D, operations and customer support, working closely with the chief sales and marketing officer and chief financial officer to ensure that the company’s strategy aligns with industry changes and market trends.

CEO Zapata said of the promotion: “Julian has proven himself countless times and we are delighted to recognize his achievements by naming him as chief technology officer.

“Julian’s skill, talent and deep knowledge of the industry is reflected in the quality and success of our solutions. We are confident that the company will not only continue but thrive as he assumes this leadership position, and our customers will benefit as he drives our technology to the next level.”

Fernandez-Campon has been with Tedial since it was founded in 2001. In a statement, the company said that his contributions have had a “major impact” on all aspects of its products, solutions design and platform architecture.

He is also an accomplished lecturer who has been recruited by numerous industry organisations, including SMPTE and NAB, to share his expertise regarding IMF, maximizing MAMs, and MAMs in the Cloud at technical forums.
