Timeline TV to feature UHD2 truck and HCAM wireless at BVE show

Timeline Television’s advanced 4K IP HDR truck, UHD2, will be featured at the BVE 2018 show on stand Q55, February 27 thru March 1. UHD2 handles fully uncompressed UHD, IP and HDR. The triple-expanding OB truck is home to a range of SAM and Axon technology.

The 32-camera triple-expanding truck delivers 4K HDR uncompressed broadcasts using SAM IP infrastructure, a Kahuna IP switcher and IP multiviewer, Sony 4K cameras and EVS servers – all controlled and monitored by Axon’s Cerebrum platform via a single fully customisable user interface. The vehicle also features a range of Axon 4K infrastructure products and hardware panels.

With an Arista 7504R 100G IP switch at its heart combined with the SAM IP infrastructure, UHD2 delivers large scale complex OBs simultaneously in uncompressed 4K UHD HDR and SDR. The truck’s two Kahuna mixers enable clients to have a separate HDR workflow additional to their normal programme.

This set-up allows production teams to work in VSF TR03 SMPTE ST 2110 – the first time this has been done in an OB truck – enabling Timeline to work with video and audio as separate essence flows within an IP workflow.

Timeline TV will also show the latest HCAM HEVC/UHD very low latency wireless systems from Vislink at the BVE show. HCAM features dual SFP modules supporting Quad 3/6/12G SDI/HDMI/Fiber Optic/SMPTE 2022-6 HD-SDI over IP interfaces.

The HCAM is very flexible and features configurable mounting options and video interfaces, allowing the unit to be mounted to broadcast cameras for sporting events, ENG cameras for news and even prosumer cameras to broaden the market reach.
