Videon expands into high-density 12G inputs and 4K P60 high-resolution live streaming with LiveEdge Max

Videon has announced the general availability of LiveEdge Max powered by the Snapdragon 865 5G mobile platform, and deeper density options. These additions to the LiveEdge family address the market demand for edge compute in higher density workflows and flexibility for remote production workflows. They enable automated graphics insertion, ad marker insertion and real-time social media highlights to multiple 4Kp60 live video streams simultaneously. Tailored to high-density workflows, LiveEdge Max comes with two 12G SDI inputs and runs multiple Docker containers simultaneously, featuring enhanced capacity for AI/ML tasks.

Videon has worked with over 400 sports venues and events, including football, baseball, hockey, auto racing, tier 2 and many niche sports. In 2023, Videon engaged in more than 84 proof of concept deployments, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and reliability. Its solutions fit within an ecosystem of 40+ technology partners and replaces encoders, laptops and servers while reducing hardware footprints and power consumption, achieving sub-second glass-to-glass latency under 200ms, streamlining and automating manual processes, and enabling novel consumer viewing experiences and revenue growth opportunities for live events and sports.

“LiveEdge Max has been integral to our operations, providing us with the high-density, high-resolution support necessary for live streaming concerts from iconic artists around the globe,” said Brad Serling, founder and CEO of nugs.net. “Its reliability, cost-effectiveness, energy efficiency, and compact design, coupled with dual 4Kp60 support, have enabled us to meet our technical requirements and audience expectations seamlessly.
