Videon updates LiveEdge Cloud Control

Videon has rolled out a number of updates to its LiveEdge Cloud Control, which offers remote configuration, management and health monitoring for hybrid cloud workflows.

The biggest enhancement is the introduction of remote device firmware updates. The company says for LiveEdge Node users, updating device firmware remotely through Cloud Control UI is as simple as updating the Cloud Agent, available with Cloud Agent V1.5.2.

In addition, both LiveEdge Node and Max users can now enjoy a 1 FPS input preview with an audio meter overlay, right from the Cloud Control. This mirrors the local device UI experience, optimising bandwidth and data usage by pausing the preview when the browser window is not focused.

Finally, users are now able to create, delete and manage data encoders through Cloud Control, similar to the local device UI capabilities. This feature will fully come online with device firmware V10.1.0, introducing necessary changes to the local REST API.
