IBC 2019: Vizrt to present a vision of the future in Amsterdam

Following the acquisition of NewTek by Vizrt earlier this year, IBC 2019 will play host to the newly combined group’s first joint presentation.

The acquisition, which took place in the spring, saw the two companies join together to become what they are calling “the leading voice in the future of IP-based, software-defined visual storytelling content production.”

NewTek, as well as Vizrt and partners, will be using NDI, the IP video standard, throughout all the exhibition halls at IBC.

At IBC 2019, Vizrt will be promoting the latest updates to its core platforms and product ranges for the future of media;

  • Viz Engine 4 will launch at IBC 2019, following its preview at NAB, and will feature throughout The Big AR Sports Show
  • Efficient newsroom and automation workflows presented in Connected Storytelling, with new features in the automation range that “will prepare media companies to succeed in a future of complex, live productions easily and error-free”
  • The importance of IP as the format of the future will be presented at A New Era of Live Production, looking at why NDI is one of the key standards for achieving efficient IP production
  • IP-based, software-defined visual storytelling (SDVS) production and traditional SDI enhancements to production platforms that will “enable powerful automation-driven storytelling capabilities”

The Vizrt Stage will also feature thought leadership presentations, as well as feature presentation content. This includes The Big AR Sports Show which will show audiences how the Vizrt Sports software can be utilised for AR, play analysis, and the monetisation of sports and live events content.

The Vizrt Sports offering will be an important feature for sports broadcasters and rights holders in preparation for the Olympics, UEFA Euro 2020 and other major sporting events next year.
