As sporting events began being postponed and cancelled due to COVID-19, BBC Sport, like any other broadcaster, was faced with the urgent need to protect and isolate its workforce while still keeping free-to-air content available for sports fans.

In this interview, Barbara Slater, BBC Sport director, in conversation with SVG Europe editor Heather McLean, discusses how the Corporation prepared for the pandemic, outlines what content it is providing to viewers today, and explains how it intends to get back to covering live sporting events.
