Chyron debuts social media applications for IBC
Making its European debut at IBC 2012, SHOUT is a stand-alone software application that enables broadcasters to bring social media commentary into their live broadcasts quickly and easily. SHOUT gives one or more users the ability to monitor, select, adjust, and route social media conversations to broadcast graphics systems either for on-air playback or for storage as data files for later use. Multiple instances of SHOUT running across a facility can be used simultaneously by different staff members to view content and moderate the same playback list.
Users can add, remove, and authenticate multiple social media accounts from sources like Twitter, Facebook, RSS, and Mass Relevance, each of which has its own playback controller, playback-style settings, and filters, as well as an automated find-and-replace feature that defines words and phrases that will be automatically replaced with new text.
Also being introduced in Europe for the first time at IBC2012 is the new ENGAGE second screen and social TV platform. ENGAGE gives broadcasters the ability to add viewer interactivity such as votes, polls, and tweet battles into their live news and sports programming, along with rich call-to-action graphics and infographics. ENGAGE integrates with popular second screen and social data partners, eliminating the need for custom integration while maintaining routine production workflows. ENGAGE provides producers with easy-to-use tools that allow for the instant creation of interactions that can dynamically boost audience engagement.

Axis World Graphics Online Content Creation
Chyron will unveil new order management and mapping capabilities for Axis World Graphics. The newly enhanced mapping system provides a more interactive experience for producers, as well as faster renders and many new features. Axis order management tools offer new point allocation systems that enable more efficient management of graphics teams. In addition, custom order forms offer flexibility for handling many different asset types.
Several other new features have recently been introduced to the Axis World Graphics system, including fully integrated electronic order management, asset management, and integrations with Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro video editing, all of which are designed for ease of use and maximum workflow efficiency.
BlueNet Graphics Creation and Playout
Chyron will demonstrate BlueNet, a comprehensive solution that fully addresses broadcasters’ requirements for streamlined end-to-end graphics workflows. BlueNet leverages Chyron’s acclaimed suite of graphics tools for ordering and graphics asset management, collaborative graphics creation, and real-time playout. Integration with Axis World Graphics, Chyron’s cutting-edge cloud-based services offering, extends the power of BlueNet workflows to speed even the most advanced graphics to air.
In fast-paced news or sports workflows that require many complex graphics, BlueNet minimizes the cycle time from creation to air. Order management tools allow producer-driven content to move smoothly into a rundown, and easily accessible templates enable instant and efficient collaboration in preparing graphics.
Chyron will demonstrate MediaMaker, a new technology that seamlessly integrates Chyron graphics with file-based editing workflows. MediaMaker extends Chyron graphics capabilities to a wide range of editing and third-party applications. MediaMaker gives video editors and graphic designers access to the same graphics and animations that are being used live on the air along with Chyron’s integrated BlueNet workflow. MediaMaker also takes producer-created graphics from a wide range of newsroom systems for painless repackaging into the edit suite. Editing applications such as Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Grass Valley Edius are now easy to integrate with MediaMaker and the Chyron graphics workflow suite.
