Create, Share, Engage 2023: IPC’s Craig Spence to discuss digital plans for Paris 2024 Paralympics

Time is running out to register for Create, Share, Engage: Producing and distributing sports content online, sponsored by LiveU, which takes place at Kings Place in London on Wednesday 3 May.

This new in-person event will offer essential insight from, and provide guidance for, federations, leagues, associations, clubs and other rights owners, focusing on content creation and fan engagement across digital platforms.

New speakers have been added to the programme line-up, including Craig Spence, Chief Brand and Communications Officer at the International Paralympic Committee, and Tim Stott, Digital Executive Producer, Host Broadcast Services.

In Games Wide Open: Digital strategies for Paris 2024, they will discuss how digital media content and online platforms will be used to shine a light on the Summer Paralympics in Paris, its sports and its competitors, outline what digital activations and strategies will be deployed, and then put it all into the context of the Games’ vision: to inspire individuals, bring about social change, and promote inclusive professional and sports opportunities for people with disabilities.

They join previously announced speakers:

  • Raj Mannick, Head of Digital, Sunset+Vine
  • Andrew Ryan, Managing Director, FIBA Media
  • Gauthier Rakotonirina, Head of Third Party Marketing, FIBA Media
  • Melissa Lawton, Chief Content Officer, SailGP

Together they will share their insight and experience on issues such as best practice when creating digital sports content, how to use content to drive engagement among viewers and create commercial opportunities, and how to expand the viewing experience.

In addition, a panel of broadcasters and vendors involved in one of the IBC Accelerator projects will reveal how they are pioneering the use of software-defined production workflows for the efficient use of resources in bandwidth-constrained locations, potentially to the benefit of lower-tier sports, and a Thought Leader Perspectives will explore advances in ad tech for live sport.

There will also be extended breaks for networking throughout the day.
