EMG / Gravity Media appoints Charlie Cubbon COO and Jamie Hindhaugh regional CEO

EMG / Gravity Media has appointed Charlie Cubbon as chief operating officer (COO) and Jamie Hindhaugh as regional chief executive (CEO) for the UK, US, Australia, and Middle East.

Cubbon joins EMG / Gravity Media from today, while Hindhaugh will take up his new role in July, when interim regional UK, USA, Australia and Middle East CEO Peter Bates will leave the company.

Cubbon joins EMG / Gravity Media from Warner Bros. Discovery with over twenty years of experience in building and revitalising businesses in entertainment across film, TV, games plus, sports, networks, e-commerce, consumer, and supply chain sectors.

During his time at Warner Bros Discovery, Cubbon held roles including VP – head of UK finance and supply chain, VP – head of commercial development UK & Ireland and most recently VP – head of strategic planning and operations UK & Ireland.

Speaking about Hindhaugh’s appointment, Gregory added: “Jamie’s extensive experience and strategic acumen make him the ideal candidate to lead our operations through an exciting phase of growth and development.

Hindhaugh has held numerous roles at BT Sport, the BBC, and Warner Bros Discovery. He is currently the VP of content and host broadcast at WBD, where as the incoming head of BT Sport he was responsible for supporting the successful transition and launch of TNT Sports in July 2023.

During his time at BT Sport, Hindhaugh led the multiplatform channels business, responsible for the editorial, content and operational strategy and delivery.

In his new role at EMG / Gravity Media, he will be responsible for overseeing all operations, driving growth initiatives, and fostering strong relationships with the organisation’s clients, partners, and stakeholders across the UK, USA, Australia, and Middle East regions.

Hindhaugh added: “This is an exciting time for the combined company as we embark on this new chapter following the merger.
