Darren Fordham to head Cobalt Digital sports development

3G/HD/SD-SDI conversion specialist Cobalt Digital has added Darren Fordham to the team in the newly created role of director of sports development and south east sales manager. Reporting to Bob McAlpine, vice-president of North America sales, Fordham will concentrate on Cobalt’s current sports-oriented customer base while continuing to build that business segment through targeted products.

Fordham’s responsibilities will also include managing sales operations in the south eastern region, a territory encompassing nine states.

With three decades of broadcast experience to his credit, predominantly in the sports arena, Fordham most recently served as director of sports business development and south east area account manager for Telecast Fiber. He has also served in specialist positions at Sony, Tektronix/Grass Valley Group and QuStream.
