Germany’s _wige SOLUTIONS boosts sports coverage with extra Hitachi cameras

The latest units will be used to equip a new mid-sized OB vehicle, PU3, that will provide additional coverage at large-scale sporting events, adding interviews and tailored coverage to the main sports action.

The new truck carries up to eight SK-HD1000 cameras with fibre transmission. Meuspath-based _wige SOLUTIONS will use the vehicle to deliver ‘fan TV’ coverage at virtually all football matches played by both the men’s and women’s German football teams, as well as coverage of major motor sports.

The need to provide intuitive, freelancer-friendly operation and excellent HD picture quality in variable lighting conditions – including areas away from the pitch used for interviews – informed the selection of the SK-HD1000s.
