This week’s role is football operations manager at Hawk-Eye Innovations, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Europe.

The full-time opportunity will be based at the Sony office in Stuttgart but will include on-site visits to football stadia around Germany and across Europe. All applicants must show very good analytical and problem-solving skills, strong leadership qualities and project experience background, along with a sound generic technical grounding. The minimum academic qualification required is an upper second class honours degree in a scientific, technology, mathematics or engineering course.

The football operations manager (DFL) will be responsible for all football operations, staffing, logistics and stakeholder relationships in Germany with the Bundesliga. The successful candidate will work closely with the operations manager (EPL) and head of football operations to put in place a structure and plan to deliver the GLT services required under the contract in Germany, and to assist with the recruitment and training of the operational team.

The operations manager will manage a team of12-15 full-time system operators, along with a pool of freelance operators for match days, and will assume day-to-day responsibility of all GLT services in Germany.
