Job of the Week: Live Stream Manager, International Paralympic Committee

This week’s role is fixed contract, full-time and based in Rio, Brazil, and is live stream manager for the International Paralympic Committee.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is the global governing body of the Paralympic Movement. The IPC supervises the organisation of the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games, and serves as International Federation for 10 sports.

The IPC is committed to enabling Paralympic athletes to achieve sporting excellence and to developing sport opportunities for all persons with an impairment from the beginner to elite level. The IPC aims to make for a more inclusive society for people with an impairment through para-sport and promotes the Paralympic values, which include courage, determination, inspiration and equality.

In the role of the IPC video journalist, the successful candidate will:
– oversee the smooth running of nine live streams and HD recording of live feeds, OBS highlights and news;
– assist with the set-up of operations;
– manage PSTV staff on site in Rio (including a technician and archivist on the same shift);
– liaise with IPC Broadcasting Manager regarding IBC/OBS related issues/questions

The IPC says it will provide an amazing experience and the required accreditation, uniform and food. But applicants will need to take care of their own accommodation, transport and flight expenses, if required.
