Indian Super League extends partnership with Deltatre

Deltatre has extended its partnership with the Indian Super League (ISL) for the 2020-21 season to deliver its broadcast graphics services.

For the upcoming tournament, Deltatre will design, develop and deploy ISL’s world feed match graphics and studio graphics in English, Malayalam and Bengali.

Deltatre’s work on this project includes a hybrid approach across multiple remote locations in addition to in-venue operations. The company has installed services in four locations, including three stadiums in Goa, and in the operations centre at the Star Sports studios in Mumbai, with crews based in these cities remaining in bio-secure bubbles throughout the tournament.

Craig Harvey, vice president, APAC, Deltatre, commented: “Partnering with the Indian Super League undoubtedly showcases our best-in-class graphics solutions in a competition that continues to grow in popularity and scope. This year’s delivery is made more challenging with the pandemic, but our ability to adapt at short notice is testament to the innovation and technology investment we make as a business.

“This collaboration underlines Deltatre’s global ambitions and our increased presence in India. Sophisticated storytelling capabilities are central to satisfying modern fan demand and that is what will form the basis of this project.”

Deltatre has a long history of providing its graphics solution to sports rights holders and properties around the world. Underpinned by powerful gaming engine Unity, Deltatre’s multi-platform graphics solutions help content producers create high-quality visualisations for broadcast, digital and social usage in real-time.

Continued work on the ISL project is a major milestone in terms of augmenting the fan experience and boosting the league’s storytelling capabilities, at a crucial time where fans are predominantly watching from home.

The Indian Super League season runs for five months, with 115 matches to be played.
