Lawo commits to Gold SVG Europe sponsorship

IP video, audio, control and monitoring specialist Lawo has renewed its Gold sponsorship of SVG Europe.

The company, which designs and manufactures solutions for TV and radio broadcast, performing arts, houses of worship, stadiums, and corporate applications, offers a range of products, including IP-based media infrastructure solutions, control and monitoring systems, digital audio mixing consoles, and video processing tools.

Recent innovations include the IP-native crystal console, powered by the Lawo Power Core Engine and supporting expandable I/O, accommodating AES67, MADI, analogue, AES3 as well as Dante audio sources and destinations; and its Home apps, including Home Multiviewer, Home UDX Converter, Home Stream Transcoder, and Home Graphic Inserter, which harness the power of a flexible microservice architecture to deliver processing capabilities with minimal compute power and energy consumption.

Lawo equipment is also sitting at the heart of a recent technical overhaul at Sky Sport Deutschland. The broadcaster is installing a total of 12 IP-native diamond broadcast mixing consoles to optimise its sports coverage and television workflows, with Lawo Power Core units as DSP engines and to provide the diamond consoles with expandable I/O connectivity for AES67, MADI, analogue, AES3 and Dante sources and destinations. For broadcast control, Sky is using the VSM system (Virtual Studio Manager), a comprehensive control and workflow solution for IP-based broadcast infrastructures which provides integration and support for custom workflows.
