Longhorn Network receives ten nominations for College Sports Media Awards

Longhorn Network, the round-the-clock University of Texas channel, has been nominated for ten awards by  2013 College Sports Media Awards. Award winners will be announced at a ceremony on 29 May during the Sports Video Group (SVG) College Sports Summit in Atlanta, Georgia.

Since the event’s inception five years ago, the Sports Media Awards have recognised the best in video production at all levels of college sports, ranging from regional and national networks to student productions and university athletic departments.

LHN has received nominations in all four categories in the Regional/Local Networks Division, including the Live Game and Event Production category, Program Series category, Special Feature category, as well as the Promotion, PSA or Video Marketing Campaign category.

As in past years, nominees were selected by a highly regarded panel of sports industry professionals.

“We are excited and honoured to be recognised by SVG and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics,” said Stephanie Druley, vice-president of production. “These ten nominations reflect the hard work and creativity that are exhibited on a daily basis by LHN’s entire cast and crew.”
